Domain of Clémarais

The history of the farm-castle of Clémarais begins in the 11th century. The construction of the first castle began in the 14th century and ended around 1422. The only remnant of this era is a square tower, called “Tour aux Effraies”.

From the 2nd castle, erected in the 17th century, only the outbuildings remain: one houses the Tourist Office and the other the sports hall. The main building of the 3rd castle dates from 1839.

The current buildings date from 1839 and are classified.

The domain of Clémarais is also the starting point for many walks in the municipality of Aubange.
